Editor
This image shows how the editor is going to look. The basic concepts will be the same, but as I said in my last report, you can now group points (or nodes) together.

Ignore the picture quality, it seems I'm not the only one having problems handling palettes.
You can see a stretch of quadruple-track. You can also see a couple of switches within those grouped tracks. I'm happy to say that the editor is already (or should I say: still) less buggy than the Pre 6 one!
I still need to add some stuff: deleting points, connecting a grouped point to another one (I need to build a bit of intelligence into the editor for that), etc. Then I'm planning to write new file save/load routines, for which I'll update the file format to a binary one. Once that's done, the simulator will be able to read these files and I'll start work on the sim again.
Unfortunately the editor is more work than the simulator, but once I've got a good workable editor ready, it'll improve sim fun a lot since we'll be able to create more complicated maps!
